Educational Content
Over the past two weeks, we published several major educational resources for the Zcash community.
Our latest feature, Why Your VPN Isn’t Enough: The Future of Digital Privacy Runs Through Mixnets, explored how metadata, VPNs, and mixnets complement Zcash’s blockchain privacy. Based on an interview with Nym co-founder Harry Halpin, the article became one of our best-performing publications of the month.
We also published an educational overview of the Ironwood network upgrade, a complete showcase featuring all 36 submissions from the third ZecHub Hackathon, and the latest editions of Zcash Shielded News.
In addition, we met with the Noir Wallet team to discuss future collaboration, with more updates expected in the coming weeks.
Wiki & Ecosystem Improvements
The Wiki continued to expand with new educational and technical resources.
We added a Zallet Quick Reference Guide, providing an accessible introduction to commands, RPC methods, and parameters for Zcash’s Rust-based full-node wallet.
Additional improvements included a new page for Zcash Engineering Office Hours, an updated Community Projects directory, and an expanded collection of educational resources from across the ecosystem.
Our ecosystem dashboards were also updated following the Ironwood activation. Support for the Ironwood shielded pool, Ironwood transaction statistics, and Zakura nodes has now been added, providing better visibility into the network’s ongoing transition.
ZEC Bounties
Work continued on the next evolution of ZEC Bounties, with a strong focus on improving contributor onboarding and engagement.
New contributor profiles, achievement badges, role labels, and expanded analytics are currently under development. The platform now tracks contributor activity, bounty categories, participation trends, and rewards over time.
Over the past 90 days, approximately 25 contributors participated in ZEC Bounties, reflecting continued community involvement and growth.
DAO Governance
A significant portion of this week’s discussion focused on improving DAO governance and the proposal review process.
Members explored ways to encourage stronger participation, improve proposal feedback, and create a more collaborative review process before proposals reach on-chain voting.
Several ideas were discussed, including draft proposal reviews during sync meetings, clearer feedback for applicants, and experimenting with new governance modules through DAO DAO.
While no formal governance changes were adopted, the conversation reinforced our commitment to continuously improving how the DAO operates as the community grows.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll continue expanding educational resources, improving ZEC Bounties, refining ecosystem dashboards, and working with partners across the Zcash ecosystem.
