ZecHub | Sync Meeting Updates (02/17/2026)
ZecHub Core Team updates, Zcash Contributors Workshop, My First Zcash v2, DAO proposals from the Last 2 Weeks and more!
This format makes it easier to stay in the loop even if you can’t catch the live sessions or YouTube recordings because of time zones or a packed schedule.
You’ll find highlights from open proposals, collaborations, and other ongoing projects in this update, with a full recap coming in the next meeting notes.
Thanks for following along and staying connected with what’s happening around the ZecHub community!
💝 Valentine’s Day Campaign & Contributors Workshop
We launched a Valentine’s Day campaign where community members could send messages to a shielded address. The campaign featured lovely designs by Kroy and a promotional video from Maine. The community participated in the first two days of the Zcash Contributors Workshop, with sessions livestreamed to X thanks to Iogy and ZKAV Club!
🦊 Shapeshift Integration & Outreach
After some initial delays, we connected with Tim from ShapeShift to plan an early March community call covering both Zcash and ShapeShift, focusing on the swap integration with shielded support. Vito is producing a video and article with Tim’s support for cross-promotion across both communities. A demo video of Shapeshift swaps is being redone to include the Shapeshift wallet.
🎬 Content Pipeline
Two Z|ECC Summit interviews are ready for release along with shorts — Red Bridge & ZSAs — with the next one (released yesterday) focusing on Zcash Shielded Assets.
Shorts from the Arborist Call were posted, and we continue improving internal community communications through Discord maintenance and publishing sync meeting (like this edition) highlights to Substack, Free2Z, X and more.
🌍 Global Ambassadors Collaboration
Following a meeting with ZCG, we are looking to work more closely with global ambassador projects.
The Wiki homepage now features a dedicated Zcash Global Ambassadors section, making it easier for people from different regions to locate their regional ambassador projects. The team is also exploring multi-language support for the Wiki with help from global ambassadors.
📊 Visualizer Progress
The visualizer project is nearing completion, with many sections being added through recent work. The team still needs to review the quizzes to ensure there are enough quality questions.

💰 ZEC-Bounties Development
Tron recently shared ZEC-Bounties with the ZecHub DAO for testing, and a session uncovered valuable bugs and feedback. The platform now supports public readme access, allowing anyone to view bounties without logging into GitHub. A dev server is set up with both backend and frontend ready for review, and the team is encouraging developers to provide feedback and contribute PRs.

👥 DAO Proposals & Voting
The DAO received a retroactive proposal from UknowZork that was rejected. There was an open proposal from SpeedFox applying to become a DAO member (approved today), which is very close to passing and just needs more participation. A proposal from OmegaWolf for creating videos for ZecHub’s Instagram and TikTok narrowly got rejected with a 57% voting member turnout.

🦓 My First Zcash Update
My First Zcash is progressing on schedule for v2. SpeedFox and Elzz, with help from T. S. and Tripleyouwu, added comments to the entire workbook. The team is now applying these comments to the main text before proceeding to graphic design and translations next week.
💻 Technical Developments
Dismad shared several technical updates: the team is running a NAMADA validator node with recent critical bug patches, found and fixed a bug in Zkool and is actively collaborating with the Zingo team since ZEC-Bounties uses Zingo-CLI as its backend.
A new dev server is running with 2 Zebra nodes and 2 lightwalletd nodes for testing.
The team is also working on extracting DAO information directly from DAODAO’s open API to add to the Wiki.
❄️ Graph IQL & Zkool/FROST
Dismad has been testing Han’s Graph IQL server built into zKool, which allows programmatic access to Zkool’s backend. This enables users to set up FROST transactions through a front-end interface, providing a powerful tool for multisig operations. The team is researching all currently available FROST solutions.
📅 Upcoming Events
We appeared on the ZCast podcast last week in an episode worth watching!
A special call with Enclave is scheduled for a test of private voting for the DAO.
🚀 What’s Next
SpeedFox is working on a Wiki Dashboard for Zcash improvement proposals that will be merged soon.
The visualizer will be completed very soon, and ZEC-Bounties testing will continue with DAO members. The team encourages everyone to stay engaged and provide feedback on ongoing projects.
