Paul Brigner is leading efforts in Washington, DC to host Pretty Good Policy (PGP*) for Crypto meetings. an initiative launched in 2022 by Electric Coin Co. (ECC) to raise awareness about Zcash and other privacy-enhancing technologies among policymakers.

These monthly meetings bring together industry leaders, government officials, and policy experts to discuss cryptocurrency regulation, with a focus on practical and privacy-preserving solutions to challenges like AML/KYC.

Paul is currently seeking $20,000 in support to help cover catering costs for upcoming meetings in September, November, and December, as well as the second annual DC Privacy Summit scheduled for October 16, 2025. The full grant application is available on GitHub for review and feedback.

Let’s start the week with a great initiative from Zcash Nigeria for the community, hosted on Zealy Quest.

Zealy is a platform that offers quests for users, and once completed, participants earn rewards in ZEC based on their rank. In short: the higher your rank, the better your chances of winning prizes.

The quests themselves aren’t too complicated. They include tasks like following the Zcash Nigeria account, liking and retweeting a specific post on X, creating a short TikTok video about Zcash, and more.

They’ve added $140 to the prize pool for the top 15 winners!

Zealy

Zcash Media is a media production initiative dedicated to creating educational video content about Zcash and broader privacy technologies. The company is operated by a small team of 2-10 employees under teh Santa Monica-based production company 37 Laines, which launched the project in 2022 getting granted by the Zcash Community Grants.

Some time later, Zcash Media submitted another grant request for $600,000 to continue producing and releasing new videos about Zcash. The content focuses on topics such as surveillance, a cashless future, technology, and other related narratives

The Zcash Media team is currently raising $8,000 (approximately 190 ZEC) to complete two exciting new video projects designed to educate and inspire the crypto and privacy communities.

The first project is a remastered version of their documentary Future Money to simplifies the narrative directly on Bitcoin's privacy flaw and how Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) and Zcash offer a powerful solution.

The second video follows Zooko, as he shares a rare, insider account of the origins of cryptocurrency before Bitcoin, the early Bitcoin movement and the journey that led to the development of Zcash.

All funds raised will go directly to the editing team, helping bring these two stories to a polished, professional level for wider public impact.

Pacu, a Developer Relations Engineer in the Zcash ecosystem, has submitted a proposal to extend his full-time role through August 2026, requesting $120,000 in additional funding. The extension builds on his ongoing work supporting wallet teams, coordinating technical efforts, and improving developer experience across the ecosystem.

The proposal highlights ongoing issues with fragmented development and limited reusability of grant-funded tools. Pacu’s role aims to address this by acting as a liaison between teams, contributing directly to development, and helping transition the network to the new Zcash Z3 stack.

Planned activities include managing ecosystem calls, offering technical support, reviewing code, and supporting integrations like ZSA, hardware wallets, and DeFi bridges. Risks like workload or team dependencies are addressed through flexible milestones and collaborative planning with the Zcash Community Grants (ZCG) committee.

This grant continues the mission of making Zcash development more cohesive, efficient, and accessible, while laying the groundwork for broader community participation and growth.

3) 🧩 Diversified Addresses

Easily manage your wallet with new diversified addresses for Orchard and Sapling. Each one can be labeled and is automatically saved to your Address Book for quick access and organization.

ZingoLabs has introduced an address verification feature that allows users to confirm whether an address genuinely belongs to them before using it. This is particularly helpful for users who copy addresses from external sources or manage multiple accounts.

Unified addresses now include only Shielded Receivers (Orchard & Sapling) for default privacy.

4)🛡️ Redesigned Receive Tab

The Receive tab now prioritizes shielded addresses for better privacy. Transparent addresses are still there, but clearly marked as a “danger zone” for informed choices.

5) ✅ Minimal Confirmations

With this update, transactions now need a minimum of three confirmations to be considered valid. This helps strengthen transaction security and minimize the risk of errors or double-spending.

6) 🌍 Language Support

Zingo now supports the Turkish. 😊
