Prax Wallet 🌘
New wallets no longer sync block-by-block. Instead, they fetch a recent validated snapshot of the chain state.
Users on phones or older laptops can now fully sync and access their funds without issues.
Faster page loads, more reliable wallet connectivity, and smoother performance.
Simplified the steps for new users by removing some loading states and redirects.
Veil DEX 🌑
Multi hop transfers addition in-progress. Soon, users will bridge assets across chains effortlessly.
The DEX engine is improving to maximize profitability for liquidity providers while ensuring better prices for traders.
Wrapped assets from Osmosis (e.g., ETH & BTC Alloyed Assets) will be properly labeled for clarity.
Noctis Explorer 🎇
Explore IBC chains in Penumbra, view client/channel IDs & related txs, search by chain name + Raw JSON data now available.
Governance Updates 🏛️
A new on-chain mechanism to incentivize LPs to compete to provide best-priced liquidity, and to reward delegators for helping to direct incentives to useful pairs.
Enable frontends to render segmented views of liquidity positions for 1-click LPs and power users.
Extends Penumbra's alternative fee token set to include Celestia's TIA, joining ATOM, Noble USDC, and OSMO.
Community Updates 🌎
A 2-month grant program designed to reward the work of builders of all kinds within Penumbra communities. The total grant pool is 100,000 $UM, with 20k $UM available per grant.
Explainers written for Prax Wallet, Shielded Pools/Transactions, Veil DEX, Shielded Staking and Voting.
Community wins points (claimed for $UM) by playing a variety of games inclluding Royal Rumble, Hangman, and Trivia!
New users can earn 5 UM tokens with VCVComedy providing a live walkthrough.
Shielding rewards are not currently enabled for these assets but can be enabled in the future via governance.
